		<description>I think an interesting questions is whether Thoreau would openly embrace what really makes blogging unique as a contemporary distributive medium:

* the hyperlink
* the trackback

I&#039;m a little fuzzy on my Thoreau, but I&#039;m pretty sure that he was an active letter writer, at least with other transcendentalists (I&#039;ve read his correspondence with Emerson).  Would Thoreau quote other thinkers of his day and link to their blogs? How would this interdependence of writers affect his underlying philosophies?</description>
